Logistics support for entry into the global marketplace

A major supplier of transformers for high-voltage electric systems wanted to expand its reach beyond Vietnam into the international market. Agility spent more than six months bidding, advising and proposing solutions before being chosen as the company’s official logistics provider for its entry into the global marketplace. Part of the initial challenge was moving a substantial amount of cargo to be tested in a Shanghai laboratory for an international certificate. Agility faced many risks and financial barriers to making this happen under a tight schedule. Moving cargo during typhoon season nearly triples costs when carriers skip high-risk ports, and shipping to China just before the Lunar New Year presents time delays for customs. We weighed our options carefully and paid an express customs fee to get the shipment to its destination two days before the start of the holiday.
