Race to get “lean” cuts sports manufacturer’s supply chain costs by $115K
One of the world’s largest manufacturers of sports footwear, apparel, accessories and equipment held “lean race” competitions among suppliers in Southeast Asia to see who could best cut costs and maximize supply chain capability. Agility delivers this client’s products to more than 250 stores in more than 40 cities across Indonesia and was keen to compete. Agility Indonesia was awarded the first-ever “Lean Race Trophy” in 2016. The team has continued to win quarterly awards since then, proving its ability to improve processes that include Pigeon Hole Modification, WMS Advance Packing, RTV DC Bypass and MAA Centralized Delivery. Agility’s efforts slashed supply chain costs by approximately $115,000.
