Henadi Al-Saleh, Chair of the Board

Henadi Al-Saleh is the Chairperson of Agility’s Board of Directors, and has been designated one the most powerful businesswoman in the Middle East by Forbes Magazine. Al-Saleh oversees the company’s corporate governance program while safeguarding the interests of investors and stakeholders.

Al-Saleh also leads digital transformation at Agility. She oversees the company’s innovation arm, Shipa, and the company’s technology ventures team, which partners with start-ups and entrepreneurs that are reshaping the supply chain.

Before joining Agility, Al-Saleh was the head of debt/equity capital markets at NBK Capital in Kuwait. Al-Saleh earned a Bachelor of Economics from Tufts University. She sits on the Board of the Gulf Warehousing Company in Qatar.

Tarek Sultan, Vice Chairman

Tarek Sultan is the Vice Chairman of Agility. Sultan assumed leadership of the company in 1997, and spearheaded company’s growth into a business with a market cap of $7 billion As of August 2021.

Agility is a pioneer in emerging markets, a leader and investor in supply chain services and innovation, and champion of sustainable business.

Sultan is a member of the Board of Directors of DSV A/S, a global top-three freight forwarding company, following DSV’s acquisition of Agility’s global logistics business in 2021. Sultan has also previously served as advisor to the Singapore Economic Development Board, sat on Wharton’s International Advisory Council, and served as a member of the Board of Directors of Gulf Bank and Burgan Bank.

Sultan is an active supporter of the World Economic Forum (WEF), and is a member of the WEF’s International Business Council, which brings together 120 business leaders to represent global business from all industries. He is also a Steward of the WEF’s Stewardship Board of the Platform on Shaping the Future of Mobility and a Governor of the World Economic Forum’s Supply Chain & Transport Industry Community.

Before taking on his leadership role at Agility, Mr. Sultan was the managing director of New York Associates, a regional investment banking services provider and an associate with Southport Partners, a U.S.-based corporate finance advisory firm specializing in the technology sector. Sultan holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Economics from Williams College.

Nadia Akil, CEO and Vice-Chairperson, UPAC

Nadia Akil is Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairperson of United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC), which she joined in July 2012. She is responsible for overall operations, including the management of more than 20,000 sqm of commercial and retail space in prominent locations such as the Kuwait International Airport, Sheikh Saad Terminal and the Discovery Mall. Under Akil’s leadership, UPAC has entered into a partnership to develop the $1.2 billion Reem Mall project in Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining UPAC, Akil spent six years at Agility, with senior roles in the Chairman’s Executive Projects Team and Agility’s Investment group. Akil’s early career included an associate position at the Global Wealth Management Group at Citigroup, London. Akil graduated with a Bachelor in International Affairs from Georgetown University and earned her Master’s degree at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

Hassan El-Houry, Group CEO, NAS

Hassan El-Houry is the Group Chief Executive Officer of National Aviation Services (NAS). He has spearheaded NAS’ expansion into more than 30 airports in 17 countries worldwide, including India, Afghanistan, UAE, Cote d’Ivoire, Tanzania, Rwanda and Morocco. Today, NAS is recognized as the fastest-growing aviation service provider in the emerging markets, and has received numerous awards under his leadership. El-Houry has been with NAS since 2009, and also serves on the board of several emerging market companies, including United Projects Co. (UPAC), Royal Aviation, and National Real Estate Company (NREC). His debut book, Fly Africa, highlights how aviation could become one of Africa’s greatest strengths and is a best seller in the aviation and Africa category on Amazon.com. In 2014, El-Houry was honored by the World Economic Forum in Davos as a Young Global Leader for his contributions to aviation and airport services. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree from the American University of Beirut.

Eugene Mayne, Group Chief Executive, Tristar Group

Eugene Mayne is the founder and group Chief Executive Officer of the Tristar Group. He has full P&L responsibility for all Tristar group activities. Since its founding in 1998, Tristar has grown to be the Middle East’s largest privately owned liquid logistics company with operations in more than 21 countries spread across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas. Under Mayne’s leadership, Tristar has evolved from a local transport company to a fully diversified and integrated energy logistics solutions provider that serves the downstream oil and gas industry. Mayne has consistently been listed among the top 25 most influential logistics executives in the Middle East for seven consecutive years and is now ranked number 13. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Bangalore. Prior to setting up Tristar, Mayne completed a successful 22-year career with Caltex in Dubai.

Dan Mongeon, President & CEO, DGS

Major General Dan Mongeon, USA (Ret), became President and Chief Executive Officer of Agility Defense & Government Services (DGS) in June 2008. Gen. Mongeon joined Agility as Vice President, DGS, in January 2006 and was named President of PWC Logistics Services, Inc. Defense & Government Services in July 2006, a position in which he had overall responsibility for the business development and the operations and strategy functions relating to the defense sector. Prior to joining the company, Gen. Mongeon served in the U.S. Army for 34 years His last active duty position was the Director of Operations, J-3, of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, an office that provides policy oversight and supply chain management for acquisition, supply, distribution and property disposal. In addition, he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, G-4, United States Army Forces Command at Fort McPherson, Georgia. He also served as the commander of the Defense Supply Center in Philadelphia (DSCP). Gen. Mongeon received his commission in 1971 as a distinguished military graduate from the University of Arizona, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration. He received a Master’s in Logistics Management from the University of Arkansas. Gen. Mongeon serves on the Advisory Boards of LOGTECH, NDTA and the Quartermaster Foundation as a subject matter expert. He is a member of the Board for Agility DGS.

Geoffrey White | CEO, Agility Africa

Geoffrey White is the Chief Executive Officer of Agility Africa and a member of the Agility Strategic Advisory Board. Employed in this role since 2014, White leads strategy for Agility Group companies and is responsible for driving investment and developing capacity across Africa to meet growing demand from Agility’s existing and new global customers. White has extensive experience of infrastructure development, retail supply chains, agri-business, and investment in African markets. White was previously the CEO of Lonrho Plc and earlier worked with BTR Plc, Asda Plc, Hilton International, Ford PAG, and a Middle Eastern private investment office. White has a BSc in Economics and Management Science.
